Naidu can’t escape the “noose’, says Rajender

Finance Minister Eatala Rajnder today mounted pressure saying that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu would not escape from the ‘noose’ of the law related to his involvement in cash-for-vote case.

Speaking to the media after inaugurating a school at Patancheru here, Rajender said despite making a hue and cry, Naidu would face the case after ACB comes out with details on the source of Rs 50 lakh involved in the case. “Naidu should admit his mistake if he has any respect for democracy. He cannot dictate terms on Hyderabad which is a facilitating center for AP until it gets its own facilities in the new capital. It is a fight between justice and injustice and ethical values and treachery of Naidu”, he added.

Though Chandrababu Naidu committed many crimes and escaped from corrupt practices so far, he would now face the law, Rajender asserted. “We have seen what verdict the courts given to then Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao and then President Gyani Zail Singh”, he pointed out.

Expressing displeasure at Chandrababu for complaining against his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi, he found fault with Naidu for failing to give clarity on his involvement in Revanth’s bribery episode. He said Telugu people are not ready to pardon Naidu for his ‘sinful’ acts. Since all are equal before law, Naidu, or Prime Minister or even President have to bow their heads in the courts and take punishment, he said.

Referring to KCR’s promise of giving shelter, education and food to orphans in the State, he said a report will be submitted to him in a week. Rajender said Chief Minister KCR, who was committed to welfare of the Minorities was spending Rs 172 crore for construction of welfare hostels in every district for them. (NSS)
