Congress party has alleged that the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has acted in the Revanth Reddy’s ‘note for vote’ episode in a manner that made the people of the State bow down their heads in shame.
Speaking to the media at Indira Bhavan here on Thursday, Congress MLC Ramachandraiah alleged that Chandrababu has brought down the self- respect of Andhra people. He advised Chandrababu to protect his respect by becoming an approver in Revanth Reddy issue. Suspecting that the Central Minister Piyush Goel was trying to protect his friend Chandrababu Naidu, Ramachandraiah questioned Goel as to why he came to Hyderabad. He, however, said that he has no belief that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would protect Chandrababu Naidu.
He opined that it is not proper on the part of Chandrababu Naidu to continue as the Chief Minister of the Andhra Pradesh State even after a big issue like Revanth Reddy’s note for vote.
Ramachandraiah demanded Chandrababu Naidu to tender his resignation to his position immediately, and suspected that the funds coming from the Centre will find their way in corrupt practices. He expressed the doubt that the probe against Revanth Reddy will not continue impartially if Naidu continued as Chief Minister, and alleged that Chandrababu’s rule was full of corruption. (NSS)
