YSR Congress Party leader Jyotula Nehru here on Tuesday asked TDP president and AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu as to why he failed to initiate action against his party MLA Revanth Reddy, who was arrested in a bribery case.
Speaking to mediapersons here, Nehru alleged that Chandrababu Naidu was brain behind the episode and Revanth Reddy became a scapegoat of Naidu’s conspiracy. He also questioned as to why Chandrababu was maintaining silence on Revanth Reddy’s episode. The YSRCP leader said Chandrababu Naidu, who always harps on eradicating corruption, has no right to continue in office after the arrest of Revanth Reddy. He also alleged that the AP Chief Minister made a mockery of democracy.
Nehru also made a startling statement that 23 TDP MLAs in Andhra Pradesh would join the YSRCP soon. He said former APCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana would join YSRCP on June 9. He also demanded that Chandrababu Naidu should be made A-1 in Revanth Reddy’s case and the case should be transferred to CBI for investigation. (NSS)
