AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu today exhorted the farmers to cut down input expenditure and increase agriculture production.
Participating “Janmabhoomi-Maa Vooru” program at Kalvapudi in West Godavari district, Naidu said his government would ensure plenty of water in the district by completing Polavaram project in three to four years. Drinking water would be provided through NTR Sujala Sravanti scheme, he added. Chandrababu said his government would provide education to poor children in Adarsh schools. “Children are capable to conquer the world if they were given standard and good education”, he felt.
The AP Chief Minister said development works would be taken up in gram panchyats with a budget of Rs 1,300 crore. He called upon the people to keep every village clean and every house should have a toilet. Each gram panchayat would be granted Rs 10 lakh to take up sanitation works, he said. (NSS)
