Naidu afraid of Jagan’s visit to CRDA: YSRCP

YSR Congress on Wednesday said that the Jagan’s scheduled tour to capital region to meet farmers on January 19 has rattled the TDP government. The government is afraid of Opposition leader’s visit to meet capital region farmers, the party said.

Speaking to media persons at the party office here, YSRCP spokesperson K. Parthasarathi said that the TDP government was forcibly taking away farmers lands for capital region. He said that though the government acquired 33,000 acres of land in the name of land pooling from farmers, it failed to fulfill its promises made to farmers. He alleged that the government was witch-hunting the farmers and other land owners who opposed to part with their lands. He said that the party would strive for the rights of the farmers of capital region till justice is meted out to them. Jagan will meet the capital region farmers and would try to solve their issues, he said.

Meanwhile, the YSRCP leaders also slammed the State Government for imposing restrictions on Jagan’s proposed tour to CRDA.

The party in a statement ridiculed the police for imposing restrictions on the route of the Jagan’s tour. How can the government impose restrictions on the visit of Leader of Opposition who is trying to meet distress farmers of the capital region?

Jagan will begin his tour from Needamarru in Mangalagiri constituency at 9.30 AM, informed party secretary T Raghuram. At 2 pm Jagan will meet farmers and other land owners at Lingayapalem. (INN)
