Naidu administers swachch bharat pledge to people

AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu today administered oath to the public for dedicating to national-wide “Swacch Bharat Abhiyan” program launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Chief Minister called upon people to spare two hours in a week for “Swacch Bharat” program to clean their street, locality, town and city. Naidu reminded that Prime Minister late Lal Bahadur Shastri had coined slogan of “Jai Jawan Jai Kisan” after the India-Pakistan war. He also assured people that his government would fulfill all promises and work as per their desire.
Stating that Vijayawada would be new capital for Andhra Pradesh, Naidu said, “We have increased pension to Rs 1,000 from Rs 200 to help the people. He also urged people to make Janmabhoomi program as a mass movement by their participation. He participated in various programs in Vijayawada today. Naidu also launched NTR Sujala scheme at Vijayawada. Under the scheme, 20 liter of water would be supplied for Rs 2, he added.

Union minister Nirmala Sitaraman, State minister Devineni Umamaheshwar Rao, Kamineni Srinivas and others attended the program. (NSS)
