Naidu accuses Congress of playing games for state Division

TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu today alleged that the Congress was playing games on the issue of bifurcation of the State.
Speaking to the media at his residence here on Friday, Naidu said every thing was going on as per the script written in 10-Janpath and the same was being implemented by leaders in the State. The Congress was not only conspiring to bifurcate the State, but also trying to divide the Telugu people, he said, adding that the TRS and YSRCP were working as per directionS from Delhi.

Expressing concern over denying him an opportunity to speak in the Assembly during the debate on Telangana Bill, Naidu reminded that he was chief minister of the State for nine years and also functioned as Leader of the Opposition twice. But no opportunity was given to him to speak on the issue as Leader of the Opposition. “Is it not the responsibility of the Speaker and the government to allow me to speak”, he asked. Alleging that the Congress high command was orchestrating Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy on the issue of bifurcation, the TDP chief said the CM, Deputy CM and APCC president Satyanarayana jointly prepared the road map for bifurcation of the State.
The former chief minister asked as to why President Pranab Mukherji was so impatient to send the bill to Parliament and how Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy become a hero of Samaikhyandhra, when he was one of the supporters of bifurcation of the State. Whenever Congress misused its power, it faced people’s wrath, he added.

Claiming that Congress president Sonia Gandhi did not sacrifice Prime Minister’s post, Chandrababu said when the then President declined to make her PM, Dr Manmohan Singh was installed as the Prime Minister. Stating that there was need to protect unity of Telugu people and ensure that no injustice was done to them, he said the issue was made more complicated now.

The TDP chief said he would soon meet the President and national leaders to apprise them of the conspiracy of the ruling Congress party. (NSS)
