Mumbai, January 25: A former Nagpur Municipal Corporation official, who went missing three days back, died today due to suspected illness at Chhatrapati Shivaji Railway (CST) station in south Mumbai, railway police said.
Prabhakar Darbe was sitting in main waiting room of the CST. He went to drink water and collapsed there, they said.
Darbe was immediately rushed to St George”s Hospital where he was declared dead. Some medicines were found with him and initial probe indicate that he died due to illness, police said.
He had come to Mumbai on January 21 and had gone to Mantralaya for some work the next day, they said. He didn”t contact anyone since then.
A missing person complaint was registered in a police station in south Mumbai on January 23, they added.
