Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Palvai Govardhan condemned the actions of Labour Minister Danam Nagender at Swayambhu Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple at Banjara Hills.
Talking to reporters in the assembly premises on Friday, Palvai Govardhan said that being a public figure, Nagender should have behaved responsibly. He said instead of simply reacting to the complaints, Nagender should have verified the facts and background of the entire case.
Govardhan also cautioned Nagender against giving a caste twist to the controversy. He said the issue was purely related to the law and order and it was wrong to add caste-colour to this issue. He also defended the silence of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy on the issue and said that only courts could decide who was right or wrong in Thursday’s incidents.
