Hyderabad, November 05: The State Minister Mr Danam Nagender has made it clear that he will not compromise on the issue of regularization of lands of the below poverty line (BPL) people in the City.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan after a meeting with the PCC president Mr D Srinivas on the 125 years of the Congress celebrations issue, here on Thursday, Mr Nagender said that he was not expecting any personal benefits by insisting on regularization of the slum dwellers lands in the City. He said that one should know the pathetic situation of the slum dwellers living in Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills areas and added that one would be surprised if he had a glance at their pathetic living conditions in theses areas. He said that there were 18 slum colonies in Jubilee Hills itself. He also made it clear that he has no grudge against the minister Mr Botsa Sathyanarana and said that the regularization should be done as per Revenue rules. He said that the government has an idea of making slum free City as part of Greater Hyderabad, and it was not correct to obstruct the efforts of regularization of the land belonging to the people under BPL.
Mr Nagender said that the Chief Minister has already ordered comprehensive inquiry into the Emaar Properties-APICC scam and the same would be done in case of Raheja Groups Scam. He said that the inquiry would go on and the government would take action against the culprits. He said that the Emaar Properties and Raheja Groups scams were started during TDP rule only, and added that the Congress government was trying to cleanse both the scams.
He said that the Cabinet was taking decisions unitedly and it was not correct to reveal the secrets of the Cabinet meeting. He said, “We only loose our credibility, if we leak the Cabinet meeting secrets”. He also said that the Chief Minister was working efficiently and there was no gap between the ministers and the Chief Minister.
