Nagender blasts rajagopal, urges centre to act tough

Labour Minister Danam Nagender today took serious exception to Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal’s action in using “Pepper Spray” in Parliament while Telangana Bill was being introduced.

Speaking to the media at the CLP office here on Friday, Nagendar demanded that the Congress party immediately expel Rajagopal and prevent him from contesting Lok Sabha elections. He also accused Rajagopal and other Seemandhra MPs for attacking Parliament like dare-devil terrorists.

Nagender sought to know on what philosophy the Vijayawada MP was taking on the might of the Centre with regard to bifurcation bill. When the UPA government was firm on forming Telangana State and the bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha, Rajagopal behaved like a hard crore criminal ridiculing the Parliamentary democracy.

Even the Naxalites (Maoists) were fighting for a philosophy, but Rajagopal do not have any policy but running like an insane person, he said. The Seemandhra leaders storming into the Speaker’s podium in the Lok Sabha amounts to making mockery of democracy, he said. Danam also stated that the entire nation has witnessed chaos in Parliament and came to know the real character of Rajagopal and others.

The Labour Minister appealed to the Seemandhra leaders to cooperate with the Centre in bifurcation of the State. Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will pass the T bill with BJP’s support, he said. Nagender urged the Center to take stringent action against these arrogant MPs, who were coming in the way of Parliament proceedings, particularly those of the Congress. He exuded confidence that the AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi will keep the promise of carving out Telangana State. “It is time for patience and we need to maintain peace despite persistent disturbances by Seemandhra leaders against bifurcation of the State.
