Nagam criticises pro-Jagan MLAs’ resignations

Hyderabad, August 23: Suspended Telugu Desam Party leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Monday criticised the 26 Congress MLAs owing allegiance to YSR Congress party for submitting resignations for Jaganmohan Reddy, against whom the CBI has launched a probe for amassing illegal wealth.

Nagam was more critical of MLAs hailing from Telangana who resigned for Jagan Mohan Reddy. He said despite suicides committed by over 600 people demanding statehood for the region, the MLAs did not resign, but they have quit their posts for the sake of a tainted politician. He asked the Telangana Congress leaders to prove their commitment towards Telangana state by giving resignations afresh.

The ex-TDP leader said the CBI not registering cases against Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal’s brother Lagadapati Sridhar left room for suspicion.
