Hyderabad, February 15: The TDP senior leader, Dr Nagam Janardhana Reddy, has said that the Congress leaders of Telangana, who went to New Delhi to talk to party leaders on Telangana should not come back until they got a clear assurance.
Talking to the media here on Monday, the TDP Telangana Forum Convener said that all the leaders of his party from Telangana were prepared for any sacrifice for the sake of achieving separate Telangana and questioned if the Congress leaders were also ready for such sacrifices.
Dr Nagam alleged that the Seemandhra leaders were working surreptitiously against Telangana. He called upon the leaders of the Telangana region to shun selfishness and work for the cause. Demanding that a resolution be proposed on Telangana in the Assembly, he said that his party would support that resolution. Maintaining that the call for non-cooperation came from the people, he has assured that the TDP would support the move.
The Telangana employees JAC leaders on Monday met Dr Janardhana Reddy and sought his support for the non-cooperation movement they propose to launch on February 17. Dr Nagam said that if the Centre does not concede Telangana, there would be chaos in the ensuing Assembly session. He assured the employees that his party would resort to non-cooperation in the Assembly, if necessary.
