An unidentified woman snatched away gold ear-rings from a school girl in Vanasthalipuram police limits.
According to police, they received a complaint from one Srinivas of Harihara Colony stating that his children – Durga Bhavani (8) and Arvind (7) went missing from the Zilla Parishad School. Srinivas dropped both the kids in front of school gate on Monday morning. However, before they could enter the school, they were allegedly taken away by one unidentified woman.
The police immediately launched a hunt and traced both the children near a library in NGOs Colony. The children told the police that they were lured away by the woman who claimed that her children too study in the same school. By taking them to an isolated place, she snatched away the gold ear-rings, worth nearly Rs 4,000, of Bhavani and fled from the scene.
Police intensified efforts to search the woman after registering a case against her, according to Sub-Inspector Veera Swamy. (INN)
