Sushilkumar Shinde, who ended his tenure as Union Power Minister yesterday after collapses of three power grids for two consecutive days, today claimed his performance at the ministry was “successful”.
Shinde, the new Home Minister, who was handling Power portfolio till yesterday, rejected the criticism that the collapse of Northern, Easter and Northeast grids, which saw half of the country’s population going without electricity, showed poorly on his stewardship of the Ministry.
