A humble act by a roadside textile vendor is winning hearts and applauds on the social media platforms.
-Who is Noushad?-
Noushad, who sells garments at Mattancheri in Ernakulam became popular after he donated all the new clothes, mostly for children and women for the flood victims of Kerala, where at least 77 people have died and over 2.87 lakh displaced.
-The Good Samaritan-
Noushad invited a group of volunteers seeking some donations to his godown.
He wholeheartedly offered to donate his entire stock of textiles purchased for sale during Eid and packed them into bags to support his brothers and sisters in need.
Led by Malayalam actor Rajesh Shama, volunteers came to him and his generous contribution literally left them with short of words.
The video clip describing the incident which happened on Sunday evening has gone viral after being posted by Rajesh on Facebook.
–The Humble Statement-
After seeing such a big and generous act, when the volunteers tried to stop Noushad, who continued to bring in more and more, he said:
“Tomorrow is Eid, this is my Eid. When I die, I can’t take any of these with me. My profit is helping others.”
This humble statement made by Noushad will make everyone realized that humanity is above all.
This Eid, Noushad shows that selflessness and helping others is what festivals are all about.
Heavy rains have lashed Kerala over the last few days with the toll rising to 77. Over 2.87 lakh have been displaced, thousands of them being sent to over 1,654 relief camps across the state. Maximum deaths — 18 — have been reported from Wayanad, an area spread over three districts — Wayanad, Kozhikode and Malappuram.
