Hyderabad: Minority Welfare Department made representation with Commissioner Police Cyberabad for the protection of Waqf land and graveyard of Dargah Hazrat Syed Roohullah Abdur Rahman Khan. Illegal construction on Waqf land by land grabbers is continued; even complaints regarding razing of graves have also been received.
Secretary Minority Welfare Syed Omer Jaleel sent a letter to Cyberabad Commissioner of Police Sandeep Shandilya in this connection and requested to put a curb on illegal activities. The letter stated that 13 acre 26 guntas of land is recorded as Waqf in Gazette No 31, Dated 4-08-2005. Secretary Minority Welfare told that one Subba Rao is responsible for land grabbing and desecration of graves. He is doing this in the name of allotment of pattas.
