Officials of Minority Welfare Department themselves are creating obstructions in implementation of scheme related to Imams and Muezzins. It must be noted that the Telangana government has announced to give Rs. 1000 as monthly honourarium to Imams and Muezzins of 5000 masajid. However when the Imams and Muezzins belonging to Hyderabad reached Hajj Houz to submit hard copies of their application, officials of Waqf Board and District Minority welfare Office refused to accept the copies of the applications. As a result elderly Imams and Muezzins had to wait for hours and then return disappointed.
As per the guidelines issued by the government they have to submit the hard copy to respective District Minority welfare Office after filing application online but Minority Welfare Office of Hyderabad refuses to accept the same. The last date to submit applications is January 10.
