Minority Welfare Department has cancelled the permission for Seerat-e-Mohsin-e-Insaniyat function of Jamiat Ulama Greater Hyderabad scheduled to be held on January 12 at Makkah Masjid. Issuing orders in this connection on Thursday, Special Secretary Minority Welfare Syed Omer Jaleel informed this to Jamiat Ulama district Minority Welfare Officer Hyderabad, City Police Commissioner and assistant Commissioner Charminar.
It must be recalled that on January 2, Jamiat Ulama was given permission to conduct a public meeting at Makkah Masjid. On January 7, Minority Welfare Commissioner sent a letter to secretary Minority Welfare stating that some other organizations also sought permission to conduct Milad-un-Nabi function on January 12 at Makkah Masjid. If any one organization is permitted to conduct the function it could disturb law and order situation hence he recommended not to permit any organization to hold meeting at Makkah Masjid. After reviewing the matter Special Secretary Minority Welfare cancelled the permission given to Jamiat Ulama Greater Hyderabad to hold the public meeting.
