Muzaffar Nagar victims’ children’s craze for learning – Hyd. Millat Public School admitted 540 students – Efforts of Siasat Millat Fund and Faiz-e-Aam Trust successful

Dr. Iqbal’s Poem:

Lab pe aati hai dua ban ke tamanna mari Zindagi shama ki soorat ho khudaya meri Door dunya ka mere dam se andhera hojaye har jagah mera chamakne se ujala hojaye

had perhaps visualized the events that are going to happen to the children in the future. This is the reason that the words of Dr. Iqbal’s poem are echoing in all the nooks and corners of the sub-continent, especially when children recite this poem aloud in the Assembly of their schools.

Readers of  Siasat Urdu Daily might not have forgotten yet the communal riots which took place in Muzaffarnagar in September 2013 in which the massacre of Muslims was done in an organized way killing 65 Muslims, looting the houses and raping women and girls. As a result of this riot, more than 50 thousand Muslims had to leave their houses to take shelter in safe places.

At this time of misery, Siasat Urdu Daily and Faiz-e-Aam Trust took up the challenge of helping these riot victims. Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily released Rs. 10 lakh from Millat Fund. Mr. Iftekhar Husain, Secretary of Faiz-e-Aam Trust, Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan, Managing Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily along with Mr. Rizawan Hyder, Trustee of Faiz-e-Aam Trust visited the riot affected areas of Muzaffar Nagar. They saw that the Muslims of Muzaffar Nagar are working as bonded labourers with the Rajputs of that area which resulted in their deprivation of education. Hyderabad Millat Public School started by Siasat Urdu Daily in collaboration with Faiz-e-Aam Trust in Jogya Kheda offers education from Nursery to VII standard. There are 15 teachers working in this school. The students are in the age group of 5 to 13 years. It is a pleasure that during a short period of one year, the number of students is continuously on the increase every year. In order to cater to the needs of the increasing number of students, four sections of Nursery Green, Nursery Alpha, Nursery Rock and Nursery Diamond are being run. In the same manner, five sections of LKG and two sections of UKG are also being run. In this way, only from Nursery to UKG, 362 boys and girls are getting education whereas the strength of the students from 1st to 7th standard has gone up to 178. Altogether, there are 540 students getting education. These students start coming in the early hours of morning. At the beginning of Assembly, students recite Dr. Iqbal’s poem and later by reciting the national anthem, they slap at the face of communal elements expressing their passion for patriotism.

It may be pointed out that the communal elements destroyed the lives of these innocent children in the communal riots and forced them to take shelter in the temporary refugee camps.

The delightful part of it is that these innocent children are adequately responding to the conspiracies of communal elements.

Mr. Syed Mazher Ali, Photo Journalist of Siasat Urdu Daily toured Jogya Kheda village and the adjoining areas and spoke to the teachers and students of Hyderabad Millat Public School.

He reported that Rajput Garhi, Mabarakpur, Rajput Parivar Garhi and Falaah-e-Aam Colony are the areas wherein the condition of the Muslims is very poor. 99% of them live in houses made of mud and thatched roofs. Their economic condition is deplorable. They live in the cowsheds. These streets and houses depict their deplorable economic condition. Children in the age group of two to three years were also seen to be cleaning drainage channels. After the establishment of Hyderabad Millat Public School, the passion of the local Muslims has increased to get their children educated. Every parent wants his/her child to study in Hyderabad Millat Public School. The educational standard of the parents is so deplorable that they even don’t know the name of the school. They simply say that their children are studying in the school of the Hyderabadis.

Sisat Millat Fund and Faiz-e-Aam Trust are spending nearly Rs. 1.6 lakh every month to maintain this school. Faiz-e-Aam Trust contributes to the tune of Rs. 60-70 thousand. Due to the efforts of both these institutions, the light of knowledge is spreading among the Muslims families. Falah-e-Aam Colony was constructed to accommodate the riots affected victims from where 50 students come to this school.

Mr. Mohammed Shahzad of Aurbadi Gaon, Ms. Sabera of Mubarakpur and Naushad, Mohammed Younis and Shabnam of Rajput Garhi told our reporter that their children have started studying well due to the arrangements made by Hyderabad Millat Public School. They are also getting Deeni Taleem. They are learning computers in the computer center.

At present, this school is functioning in a rented building. The local chief (Pradhan) and the residents have started the construction of the three-storey building covering an area of 5000 sq.ft. Its ground floor has almost been completed.

It is expected that the strength of the students of Hyderabad Millat Public School would go up to 1500. Parents are sending their children in auto rickshaws from the nearby villages.

The residents of Muzaffarnagar have all praise and prayer for Siasat Urdu Daily, Faiz-e-Aam Trust and the Muslims of Hyderabad.
