HYDERABAD: Muggers posing themselves as CBI officials daringly carried raid at Muthoot Finance on December 28 2016.
However, 18 days after the incident the Cyberabad police arrested five members of an inter-state gang on Sunday, some of whom had links with gangsters Chotta Rajan and late Aziz Reddy.
They would have easily robbed more 15-crore at a hawala operator’s house in Mehsana, Gujarat. The gang had stolen 41.8kg gold from Muthoot on 28th December.
“Lakshman Narayan Mudhang of Nasik, Ganesh Pandurang Bhonsle alias Patil, Vijay Kumar of Hallakatta in Karnataka, Kumar Pal Shah, a jeweller from Mumbai and Subhash from Kanyakumari of Tamil Nadu have been arrested for their role in the heist” said Cyberabad police commissioner Sandeep Shadiliya.
