All the Imams of mosques will administer a pledge from the worshippers on Friday, 3rd July to celebrate marriages in a simple manner. This campaign has been launched by Muslim Shibban in order to eradicate dowry and other un-Islamic rituals.
Mr. Mohammed Mushtaq Malik, President of the organization while addressing a large gathering yesterday at Masjid Haji Kamal Darushifa told that celebrating marriages of Muslim community has become a very serious issue. He further told that Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily is supporting this campaign. He has been advocating for serving one dish and one sweet in marriages which is gaining popularity.
