Hyderabad, June 4: How far minorities would remain as just vote bank for Congress party? The Congress party which claims sympathy towards minorities has always paid lip service however injustice was done to minorities when it came to giving representation in government institutions.
Congress high command has finalized names for almost all important vacant posts in the state but no Muslim name has been considered for any important post.
While A Chakrapani has been reappointed as Chairman of legislative council for the second time, Mohammad Jani has been denied the post of deputy chairman.
A state of unrest prevails in the circles of minority leaders and workers of Congress as no minority leader has been appointed for any important post announced by Congress. The question arises that are none of the minority leaders is eligible for any post.
There are 3 Muslim members in the assembly and four council members but only one has been chosen for ministerial post.
A Congress leader remarked that the party remembers Muslims only when it needs votes otherwise though Congress wants Muslim votes but the posts are distributed among other communities.
