Muslims in villages of Bihar flee from fear of police

There are atleast one dozen villages in Gopalganj district of Bihar which have been deserted. Houses’ doors are locked; where there are no locks only old and handicapped men and women can be seen. Infact from the Muslim predominant villages such as Pipra, Danapur, Jagannath and Phulwaria, Muslim men and women have fled from fear of police.

It is said that a private electrician died after hit by an electric wire. Though the incident occurred at Majha market but the people from the said villages reached the spot and joined Rasta roko and demanded compensation to the family of the victim Kanahya Sharma.

Later police registered an FIR accusing 137 people. 37 names have been mentioned in the FIR out of which 31 are Muslims.

Former Janata Dal MLA Riyazul Haq has to say that people are too frightened.
