Mr. Mushtaq Malik in his address told that the Muslims of Telagana region are the worst affected persons. Enthusiasm with right thinking will be helpful in the development of the community. Telangana cannot be visualized without Muslims. If a Sikh with 2% population can become Prime Minister, why can’t the Muslims who constitute 14% of the total population elect their CM. In the first phase the Muslims demand the post of Deputy Chief Minister. They also demand 12% reservations in educational institution and jobs. They also demand to the political parties to elect more number of Muslim candidates for Assembly and Council. In the last election, barring Hyderabad, not a single Muslim was elected to Parliament. With the right kind of strategy, the Muslims can get their representatives elected from the districts. Restoration of Waqf properties, linking Urdu language to employment, declaring Urdu as the second official language on par with Telugu are the demands of the Muslims.

Their representation in Assembly and Parliament should increase.
