Bijnor: Muslims of Shiwala Kalan, Bijnor didn’t celebrate Eid ul Adha thanks to the officers who banned slaughtering of big cattle. Exasperated over this the Muslims of the village didn’t offer Eid ul Adha prayer nor celebrated Eid. Villagers have to say that sacrifice has been done in the village since the time of their ancestors. They also produced documentary evidence to the high officials. But some communal elements are paying no heed to them and trying to disrupt the peace of the village.
Muslims also staged protest against ban on slaughter of big cattle. They didn’t perform Eid prayer nor offered sacrifice. A local elder Anwer told that Muslims here have been sacrificing both big and small cattle on the occasion of Eid ul Adha for the past 50 years. Keeping in view the tense situation police and other forces have been deployed in the area.
