Lucknow, March 17: Alleging atrocities against people in Bahrain, prominent Shia cleric and general secretary of Majlis-e-Ullama-e-Hind Maulana Kalbe Jawad Naqvi today said a protest against it would be staged here tomorrow after Friday prayers.
“Atrocities are being committed against people and unarmed men are being killed in Bahrain, a protest will be staged tomorrow after Friday namaz,” Maulana Jawad told reporters here.
He said that if atrocities continued against people in Bahrain, a massive demonstration would be held in Delhi for which the date would be announced later.
The cleric said that the Centre should also issue a statement on the situation prevailing in Bahrain.
“So far Indian government has not issued any statement. We demanded that it should condemn military action against innocent people and inquire about Indian living there,” he said.
