Hyderabad, December 21: Muslims in the Telangana region today appealed to the Union Government to speed up formation of Telangana State, and urged the State Government to withdraw a l l cases registered against students and Telangana sympathisers who participated in the movement and release them at the earliest.
Muslim Forum for Telangana convener Lateef Mohd Khan alleged that Muslims were the worstaffected in united Andhra Pradesh in respect of culture, tradition and Urdu language. “The representation of Muslims in political and developmental aspects was restricted in the name of minority.
More number of Muslims will get an opportunity to participate in the development of Telangana state,’’ he said.
