In the formation of the executive committee of A.P. Mahila Congress on the posts of General Secretaries, Secretaries and Spokespersons, Muslim leaders have been overlooked. Four Muslim leaders have been included as Vice Presidents. Congress lost in four northern States but in spite of this defeat, Congress is not opening its eyes. Muslim played a key role in getting power to the Congress Party in the State. All the Congress leader admit this but when the chance of distributing positions comes, Muslims are neglected. Not a single candidate has been nominated as Spokesperson. Mr. Botsa Satyanarayana, Congress President has constituted five various task forces consisting of 30 secretaries each but not a single candidate has been selected for these posts. Ms. A. Lalitha, the newly elected president of A.P. Mahila Congress constituted a Jumbo State Committee of Congress consisting of 71 members which includes 27 women as Vice Presidents. Only 4 Muslim women, namely Ms. Shameem Agah, Ms. Zarib Razi, Ms. Masarath Sultana and Shaik Shahida Begum have been included as Vice Presidents. Out of 26 women nominated as general secretaries, not a single Muslim woman has been included in it. In the same manner out of 16 Secretaries not a single women has been selected. Two women have been nominated as Spokespersons. No Muslim woman is nominated as Spokesperson. Most of the Muslim leaders of Congress have a feeling that Congress uses the Muslim as their vote bank. So long as poor persons are not included and if the party continues to give more importance to the capitalists, it will not be possible for the party to reach the common man. If the Muslim leaders are neglected in this manner in A.P. Congress Party will face the same fate as it did in the four northern States.
