New Delhi: Noted lawyer and social activist, Mr. Mahmood Paracha told that there is a need for the Muslims to work with the downtrodden people of India and to form a common front which includes Dalits, OBCs, Sikhs and the Buddhists.
In a special meeting, Mr. Mahmood Paracha told that the Muslims have to face a new challenge for which they need young leadership equipped with technology.
He further told that the political situation is changing in India in a rapid way and the population of the Muslims is a sizeable majority to formulate new strategies.
Mr. Mahmood Paracha who is in the forefront to provide legal aid to the Muslims implicated in various cases told that the Muslim Ummah is not less than any community. It should come out of the fear psychosis.
Babri Masjid land ownership case
He pointed out that in pursuing Babri Masjid land ownership case, serious lapses occurred.
He indicated that after the demolition of Babri Masjid, Muslims did not file ‘Status quo anti’. In addition to it, after the demolition of the mosque on 6th December 1992, why no effort was made to stop any outside intervention. It resulted in the manipulation of crime scene in 2003. The repot of ASI is its outcome.
No interrogation was made with ASI Commissioner, Dr. K.V. Ramesh.
Leadership
Mr. Mahmood also told that the Muslims of India need active, competent and talented leadership.
Criticizing Mr. Jinnah, Mr. Mahmood Paracha said that Jinnah committed a blunder in 1947 by dividing the Muslims.
Mr. Mahmood suggested that the Muslims of India should encourage young leadership.
