With the formation of united Andhra Pradesh State, conspiracies were hatched to persecute Muslims of Telangana region. In Hyderabad state where Muslims were serving proportionate to their population, they were overthrown from the jobs on the basis of language. Noted social activist and harbinger of secularism, president Voice of Telangana Captain Pandu Ranga Reddy expressed these views.
He asserted now the Telangana state is being formed after 60 years struggle Muslims should get equal opportunity in Telangana. The responsibility lies with the parties who had promised reservations to Muslims proportionate to their population to provide 12 pc reservations to Muslims. ‘
He expressed apprehensions that the political parties after formation of Telangana can go back on their promises.
