Hyderabad: Special arrangements for the lifting of garbage and sanitation related works are inevitable for the ensuing festival of Eid-ul-Azha to be celebrated on 13th September. Sacrificing of cattle continues for three days from 10th to 12th of Zilhajja as a result blood and wastes are found lying on roads which needs to be avoided as it causes inconvenience to others. Removal of offals, entrails and carcasses of sacrificial animals, etc. should not be thrown into garbage bins as it creates bad odour.
GHMC has decided to distribute big plastic bags in twin cities to people offering sacrifice so that animal fodder, removal of offals, entrails and carcasses of sacrificial animals, etc. are stored in those bags which could be easily disposed off by sanitation workers.
GHMC Commission Dr. Janardhan Reddy has issued directions to the concerned department in this regard.
Muslims who are offering sacrifice should keep in mind they should not cause inconvenience to others while performing a religious duty. Islam teaches cleanliness hence Muslims should maintain cleanliness during the festival of Eid-ul-Azha to ensure a neat and clean city.
