Muslims should get united – Zahid Ali Khan

Hyderabad: While addressing Du-ba-Du (Face-to-Face) matrimonial alliance program yesterday, Mr. Zahid Ali Khan told the Muslim community to celebrate marriages in a simple manner. He also told that the role of mother is very important. Generally, mothers are blamed for asking dowry which is true to a certain extent. He requested ladies to give importance to the feelings of the relatives of the girl in order to provide a good congenial life for their children.

He was delivering presidential addressing at the 66th Du-ba-Du program organized by Minorities Development Forum at Royal Regency Garden, Asif Nagar. More than 5000 parents and guardians attended the program. Mr. Zahid Ali Khan stressed the need for organizing counseling before marriage. For this purpose, a committee of veterans of the locality should be constituted. This committee would persuade the families to refrain from unnecessary expenses in marriages. He lamented that the incidences of divorce are on the increase in Muslim community for which parents are responsible. They have to play an effective role to save their children from such situations. He mentioned that the incidences of divorce in Muslims are 5% whereas in Hindus, it is 12%. Despite this fact, BJP is fully active to change Muslim Personal Law. He advised the Muslims to get united to face the situation. He mentioned that Sectarian differences would weaken community. Our energies would be decentralized

He said that for the signature campaign against change in Muslim Personal Law, encouraging results are found. Siasat Urdu is distributing signature form free of cost. He mentioned that Hyderabad has the honour of initiating movements which guarantee success. He advised the parents to be magnanimous in selecting the girls. They should prefer character to beauty.
