Tafheem-e-Shariat Committee for Women of All India Muslim Personal Law Board held a 1-day workshop entitled “Muslim Personal Law and Misconceptions” at Potti Sri Ramulu Telugu University Auditorium. Addressing the workshop, former Judge Supreme Court of India Mr. Syed Shah Mohammed Quadri in his keynote address exhorted Muslims to make the principles of Shariah the part of their life.
Maulana Mohammed Omer Madani, Maulana Khaled Saifullah Rahmani Secretary and convenor Tafheem Shairat Committee All India Muslim Personal Law Board, Advocate Shafeeq ur Rahman Mahajir, Maulana Mohammed Azam Nadvi, Vakeel Mohammed Abdul Qadeer former Public Prosecutor High Court, Maulana Abdur Raheem Quraishi State General Secretary All India Muslim Personal Law Board and others addressed on the occasion.
The speakers said that it is being tried to create misconceptions about Muslim Personal Law due to materialism and worldly interest. They claimed that Uniform Civil Code is unacceptable.
