Aligarh: Vice-Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, Lt Gen (Retd) Zameer Uddin Shah, told that Muslim women are treated as slave in their houses and hence they lagged behind in the process of development.
He further commented that the capabilities of Muslim women have not fully been utilized. They are confined to their houses. Muslims cannot blame other for this situation. He made this comments during the felicitation function organized by Old Boys of AMU at Lucknow yesterday.
Except Turkey and Iran, Muslim women are confined to their houses and they are treated like slaves and hence they are backward.
Mr. Shah lashed out the Muslims for their lethargy in the month of Ramazan as they do not work in that month. He also commented that the Muslims waste two-and-a-half days which includes Friday prayer, weekend holiday and Sunday.
He lamented that Muslims abandoned education and involves themselves in sectarian conflicts. Added to this, there are regional biases. All these factors are destroying AMU.
