Hyderabad: Sudheer Commission of Inquiry declared that 80% of the Muslims are very backward economically and socially and hence they deserve 9-12% reservation. The commission also suggested the Govt. to seek legal opinion to provide reservations. It did not suggest the Govt. to form BCs Commission. It also made a reference to the 4% reservations given by previous Govt. of A.P. led by Dr. YSR. The commission referred to Sacchar Committee and Kundu Committee recommendations.
Govt. has sought legal opinion on the report submitted by Sudheer Commission of Inquiry. Now there is a big question whether the Govt. would refer the issue of reservations to BC Commission or takes decisions on its own.
