Arif Ali used to earn his bread by showing tricks on ropes. He belongs to “Nat” community of Muslims. A Hindutva pandith got him and his family converted into Hinduism with a promise to give land and house but it didn’t materialized. Arif’s family was not accepted by the Hindus. His father, Rahmath Ali (75) told that he is not getting matrimonial alliances for his daughter from Hindu young men. The Muslims also alienated his family. Vexed up with this situation, he again accepted Islam. The Pandith who had promised him green fields was not found anywhere.
