Muslims should continue only signature campaign – Muslim Personal Law Board advises

Hyderabad: Secretary of All India Muslim Personal Law Board, Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rehmani in a press statement released yesterday told that the attitude the Central Govt. and other governmental organization have started against Triple Talaq and Uniform Civil Code is an attempt to deprive the Muslims with their religious identity and to curb their religious rights. He further told that Muslim Personal Law Board has advised the Muslims to continue signature campaign and copy should be sent to Law Commission and Women’s Commission. The original form should be sent to the office of All India Muslim Personal Law Board. It has been decided to continue only signature campaign at the movement and to refrain from public meetings, bundh and other means of protest. The Muslims are advised to wait for the next decision of Muslim Personal Law Board. The strategy of the board is that Muslims should express their sentiments in a democratic way. We should not give any scope to the communal elements to incite our sentiments.
