Kerala: Muslims set an example of communal harmony by making a decision to arrange wedding of Hindu couple in Mosque located in Alappuzha district of Kerala.
The mosque has not only opened its doors for the wedding but also helped the bride’s family financially.
Marriage of the couple
The marriage of the couple, Anju and Sharath Sasi will be held between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on 19th January at the Cheruvally Muslim Jamaat Mosque.
The wedding will take place in compound of the mosque and vegetarian meal will be served to 1000 guests.
Mosque will give Rs. 2 lakh cash to groom and gold jewelry to bride. It was disclosed by the Secretary of the Mosque, Nujumuddin Alummoottil.
Bride’s mother approached mosque
The help was extended to bride after her mother, Bindu approached the mosque.
It may be mentioned that Bindu who lives in a rented house near the mosque has been struggling to raise her children after the death of the her husband, Ashokan in 2018.
When the matter was kept in front of worshipers, they agreed to help the bride’s mother.
