Muslims are unfit to be US President because of their faith – Republican Presidential Candidate Carson

Washington: Republican Presidential Candidate Ben Carson on Sunday said that Muslims does not fit to be President of the United States and said that their faith is inconsistent with American Principles.

Mr. Carson followed the controversy that erupted when front-runner Donald Trump declined to correct the man who said “We have a problem in this country. It’s called Muslims, we know our current President is one” on Friday.

He also said that US president’s faith should be consistent with the Constitution.

America’s largest Muslim Civil Rights Group condemned Carson’s statement and demanded that he should be disqualified from the Presidential election. Civil Rights Group said that US Constitution is against of religious tests for holding Public Office. It also said that Carson should withdraw his statement.

Minnesota Democratic Representative Keith Ellison, the first practicing Muslim elected to Congress said that presidential candidates are resorting to such statement for the benefit of their campaigns.
