Muslims apprehensive over police harassment in Nizamabad

Nizamabad, January 2: Former member of board of governor Urdu academy Syed Najeeb Ali advocate, president district minority department Javeed Akram, president Millat Welfare society Maulana Kareemuddin Kamal, former MFC director Omer Sattar, president district Congress G Gangadhar made representation with P. Sudharshan Reddy, Minister for Major and Minor Irrigation regarding arrests of innocent Muslim youth from the past few months.

They told him that Muslims are being harassed by registering serious cases against them on minor incidents by the Nizamabad police and I town SHO. Muslims are becoming apprehensive over this and they feel threatened due to police terrorism.

On the night of December 5, SHO roaming about on foot in Muslim areas forcibly arrested youth present in front of their houses and shifted them to police station. They also videographed the proceedings and made a link on the website.
