Hyderabad, November 17: Police may proclaim its unbiased role but its action defeats the claim. The attitude of the police is varied for various sects. There is a separate section to watch the suspicious activities and under it two branches function one for the activities of the Muslims and the other for the Hindus.
It has been observed that the branch responsible for watching the movements of the Muslims is very active whereas the other branch is almost dormant. In addition to Muslim Communal Field there is another branch with the name special operation cell.
There is no resemblance between the functioning of the Hindu Communal Field and the Muslim Communal Field. Although the Hindu organizations are more and their activities are also enormous.
The Hindu Communal Field has only 10 employees whereas there are 14 staff members in Muslim Communal Field. Special operation cell has 15 employees and it concentrates more on Muslim activities.
The staff members of this cell are mostly found in plain clothes in Muslim gatherings whereas in the shakhas of RSS and in tother Hindu Fundamentalist outfits, no attention is paid.
The activities of the Muslims in their religious functions are very limited whereas the activities of the Hindus are more in number. The speeches of the Muslim priests are confined to Islamic values only whereas the Hindu leaders awake violent and make irritating speeches against the Muslims.
If a review of the reports of both Muslim and Hindu cells is made it will be revealed that the reports of the Hindu cells are routine and only for namesake. The reports of the Hindu religious leaders are neglected by the Dept. whereas the reports of the Muslim cell receive the utmost attention of the Govt. As far as the functioning of the special operation is concerned, its activities are limited to the reporting of the Muslim activities only.
If the reports of all these three cells are reviewed objectively, it will be revealed that only Muslim field and the special operation cell will be found to be more active. Muslims are not posted to Hindu Communal Field whereas Hindu employees are included in all the three branches of the police. It makes the reports of these cells doubtful. After the role of the Hindu Fundamentalist Organization was exposed in Mecca Masjid blast case, intelligence Dept. seems to be more active.
