Members of Various political and social organsiations presented memorandum to Mr. D.P. Sawant, Minister incharge of Nanded and Bhasker Rao Patil, MP and apprised them of the incidents which took place in Abubakar colony on Wednesday. Stones were pelted at Jamia Masjid and shops in the fruit market were set ablaze. 34 Muslim youths were arrested from Muslim localities.
Present on this occasion were Mr. Dheeraj Kumar, District Collector Mr. Nanaji Deshmukh, Addl SP Mr. Borgaonkar Dy. Collector, Mr. Rao Saheb Antaporkar, MLA. Eye witnesses told that Congress Vice President was on the forefront in the incidents of setting the shops ablaze in fruit market.
