Muslim youths advised to compete for Civil Services

Urdu Academy Jeddah and Riyadh (KSA) organized a reception to honour Dr. S.A. Shukoor, Director of Urdu Academy, AP. Mr. Shakeel Ahmed, Consul General of India in Jeddah presided over the meeting. Prof. Shukoor, in his speech thanked Urdu Academy, Jeddah and Bazm-e-Farogh-e-Urdu Riyadh for organizing this function to provide an occasion to meet the lovers and well-wishers of Urdu working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Prof. Shukoor told that he is happy to associate himself with the Center for Educational Development of Minorities of Osmania University because one of its students Mr. Jeelani Pasha secured 502nd rank in Civil Services exam.

By doing so he acknowledged his efforts and the pains taken by his colleagues to train him. He advised the students from among the audience to follow the footsteps of Jeelani Pasha and try to obtain good ranks in Civil Services examination by their hard work. He mentioned that Jeelani Pasha hails from a very poor family, which doesn’t have even the basic amenities.

Despite lack of educational facilities, he proved that hard work always pays. He thanked Allah the Almighty for assigning the task of serving the Hajis. Only four persons were selected from India for this assignment and he is one of them. He told that he got complete tranquility by performing this service. He has no words to express it. He assured to complete the unfulfilled tasks of Urdu Academy in Hyderabad.
