Saharanpur, August 17: To discuss the different social problems of Muslim Women a meeting was organized in Saharanpur.
The Different women organization said that the triple talaq and talaq through internet and mobile should be declared invalid. It was unanimously decided that the safety of women rights should be in the priority list.
They also discussed the social problems faced by Muslim families and said that it is very important to save those Muslims families which are on the verge of destruction.
The women activists demanded the decodification of Muslim personal law. The negligence by Government agencies to Muslim women was also discussed in the meeting. This Muslims woman wants their participation in the Government schemes.
The important thing of the meeting was these women totally discarded the issue of inter caste or inter religion marriage. They said that it is the matter of boys’ and girls and if they agree to get engaged nobody should make impediment in their way. It was decided that it is not right to give this issue a communal color.
To prepare a nationwide Muslim women network a meeting will be organized in the first week of October in Hyderabad. The meeting at saharanpur was attended by Haseena Khan and yasmeen of Awaz-e-Niswan , Mumbai, Rehana Adeeb of Astitva, Qadeema Anjum of paracham, Saroj Verma of Janwadi mahila sangathan and Avateeka of Legal protection.
