Muslim woman duped with false promise of work abroad

Assuring a job abroad, a Muslim woman was duped by the fraud agent. The worried victim residing in Gulf country has no one to look after her. Her daughter in a bid to bring her back to the country took the matter to the Human Rights Commission. The victim’s daughter Fatima has to say that if the Kanchan Bagh police had acted in time and had paid attention and tried to resolve the matter, now her mother would have been with her.

Emotionally overwhelmed Fatima told that she is worried for her mother, 45 year old Kausar Banu, who has not talked to her on phone since several days.

Fatima resident of Baba Nagar E Block today approached Human Rights Commission with her brother. She told that her mother was taken to gulf country on the job of ‘Aaya’ however she has been shifted to some other place and is forced to work as a home maid. She went abroad in October 2011. She was promised 10 to 15 thousand rupees monthly salary. A local woman Mumtaz had introduced her to an agent named Saleem.

Fatima alleged that Mumtaz and Saleem have jointly duped her mother. When her mother reached the gulf country she talked to her on phone narrating her woes and told that she wanted to return to Hyderabad. Since 4 months her mother did not talk to her. When she called to the place where she used to wok, the person says that she doesn’t reside there now and has been sent to the agency.

Commission has directed the top police officials to submit detailed report till July 26, 2012.
