Ms. Rahima Bi (50), a resident of Doma in R.R. District committed suicide in the presence of sub-inspector of police. She was making rounds the police station to find out the whereabouts of her 30 year old son, Mohammed Mukhtar who had fallen in love with a girl belonging to Majority community. Both of them had runaway. A few days back the girl returned but the boy was not to be seen. She approached Human Rights Commission complaining that inspector of police of Doma is using filthy language against her and harassing her. Her daughter, Hasina told that her mother had picked up quarrel with her father. When Hasina and her husband, Maqbool approached police station, the inspector refuse to record their statement. The inspector took Maqbool into police custody and assaulted him. When Rahima Bi requested the police inspector to find out the facts and release her son-in-law, inspector abused her and also used bad language about the character of her son Muqtar.
Vexed up with this humiliating life Rahima Bi preferred to kill herself. She consumed poison in front of police inspector. The inspector instead of saving her life, pushed her. Her family members rushed her to the nearby hospital. Later, she was shifted to Osmania General Hospital where she died during the treatment. Sub-inspector of Police, Doma, Prem Kumar and the circle inspector of Pargi could not be contacted
