Hyderabad: Many deputations from various districts of Telangana State made representations to BCs Commission in support of 12% reservations yesterday. A large number of delegations from districts also met Mr. Amer Ali Khan, News Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily and thanked him for successfully organizing massive campaign in the districts of Telangana for creating awareness for reservations. The campaign launched by Siasat Urdu Daily is yielding fruitful results.
Mr. Mohammed Taquiuddin Ahmed, Secretary All MEWA of Mehboob Nagar submitted a detailed memorandum to BCs Commission. They said that Sudhir Commission has expressed its view that the status Muslims is worse than SCs and STs. Mr. Qamaruddin, Chairman of MEWA demanded that Muslims should be given reservations according to the percentage of their population. A delegation led by Armour MLA, Jeevan Reddy submitted a memorandum to BCs Commission and stressed the need for providing 12% reservation to Muslims. Mr. Shakeel Amer, TRS MLA from Bodhan and Chairman of the Minorities House Committee of Telangana Assembly was also present on this occasion. Mr. Asad Ali, TRS mandal president of Bichkonda recommended 12% reservation in his representation submitted to BCs Commission. The delegation of Bichkonda also congratulated Mr. Amer Ali Khan for successfully launching the campaign to muster support for 12% reservations.
