Hyderabad: TRS leaders supported the statement made by Mr. Mahmood Ali about Muslim reservations. Mr. Waheed Ahmed, Secretary, TRS and others addressed the press conference yesterday and told that for 40 years, Congress ruled the country but it never considered giving reservations to Muslims. In 2004, Congress was in weaker position. At that time, Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad went to KCR’s residence to seek his cooperation. Mr. KCR supported the Congress and stressed the need for providing reservations to Muslims.
It is very clear that Congress provided 4% reservation to Muslims at the instance of Mr. KCR. Now those Congress leaders are trying to take its credit. After assuming power, TRS allocated Rs. 12000 crore budget for Minorities. It established 71 residential schools.
