Hyderabad, July 06: A delegation of A.P. Muslim Reservation Front led by Mr. Mohammed Iftekharuddin Ahmed, Advocate, President met the Registrar of Osmania University Prof. V. Kishan Rao and recorded their protest that reservation for Muslims under BC-E category are not being implemented in the appointments of non-teaching and teaching staff.
Executive Council of the University had passed a resolution on 19th July 2007 to follow the reservation policy for the Muslims. For the past four years many recruitment notifications were issued but Muslim reservation was not mentioned. Accepting the lapse on the part of the University, Prof. V. Kishan Rao promised that the that the backlog vacancies will be filled up.
